As I settled myself in front of my computer to write this post, I was surprised to find that it was a whole week since I posted anything.
Yes, I didn’t realize it… Why? You may wonder.
The final exams before the closing of the academic session just ate up my week!!! It doesn’t matter that they are your child’s exams and not yours. The whole family just switches to EXAM MODE 🙂 … Good news is that they are finally OVER!!!
And so here I am, geared up for the upcoming month of April 2018 and with this post to reveal the THEME of my A-Z Challenge.
What is A-Z Challenge?
It is a blogging challenge that takes place in the month of April, every year. The participant needs to post 26 posts for 26 days of the month excluding Sundays. Each of the blog-post should begin with an alphabet; the first post starting from A till the last post starting with Z.
Why a Theme?
Usually, it is advised to have a central theme for the posts under a chosen category by the participant. It is said that this makes your blog posts more organized and provides more clarity to the readers. Since I am a first timer, I tried to adhere to the advice given by co-bloggers who have participated in this activity. So, I went for a Central Theme.
To come to a decision on a particular theme is a tedious task. It wasn’t an exception for me as well. As a newbie, I was too tensed to think of any theme. I read lots of blogs who had been a part of this challenge. Most of them portrayed the same emotions which I was going through.
Even if one chooses a theme, the real problem lies after that; when we need to line up titles of each of the blog posts having required alphabets. The most notorious letters are Q , X , Y , Z. Thankfully, my theme didn’t give any trouble with letter X. 🙂
My Theme For The Challenge
On the sixth day of my nerve-wracking session with my ever-so-restless brain, an idea popped up. As I was contemplating on the shortlisted topics for my theme, I tried to recall any events or activities similar to this challenge. Almost immediately, my mind was brimming with memories of my childhood. One thing led to another and at the end, I found what I was looking for.
My theme for A-Z challenge is:
For each letter, in the month of April, I would be fetching one memory of my life and sharing it with you all. The memories will be random… they will be from my early childhood to late teens or adulthood. Some will be sad… some fun… some will be embarrassing… and some hilarious.
Memories… it is just one word but if we look deeply, it is the sum up of what we all are… isn’t it? They are always with us. Our emotions, our personalities are all tied up with our memories. We tend to recall them every now and then.
When we meet our old friends, we think of the memories of our school or childhood. When we meet our family members, the memories related to home, vacations, cousins, family-dinner parties are evoked. And as we grow older, these memories become our best friends. They remain with us when everyone has left us behind.
In today’s busy world when it is difficult to even remember by evening, what we had in the morning… I want my readers to sit back for a minute or two as they read my posts. I want them to reminisce those moments of their lives and smile or giggle or cry… and at last, feel alive… because
I hope that everyone enjoys my posts written for A-Z challenge. Who knows they might make you remember some of your forgotten yet beloved memories.
