First on Friday – September 2018 New Releases

And I am back!!! With a set of brand new books in my TBR from the New Releases of September 2018…

Hola Amigos!!!

5

How have you been? Have your weekends been filled with lots of books and fun? Do recommend me some books which you had read for the past month in the conversation boxes below. I would be eagerly waiting for your replies 🙂

It is mid-September here. The Monsoon season is almost over and I really enjoyed it this year. Now comes the time of festivities on my land. We just celebrated Rakshabandhan and Janmashtami a few weeks back and now as I write this post to you. We are welcoming Lord Ganesha on his birthday. As I sit here near the window with my Laptop, I can hear bells and chant all around in my society. The air is filled with Joy and Happiness. I am looking forward to this weekend with lots of social activities planned in my neighbourhood.

Along with it, I would also be going on a hunt to collect the 4 books which have caught my attention this September. It is a fantastic feeling to see all the hoopla around. It makes my heart feel all warm and light. So, this month my choices have inclined more towards the ‘Romance genre’. The books together make a mixed bag of all forms of romance.

In addition to it, I am super excited as I have explored a wonderful world of Indie-Authors. Yes, this time instead of looking out for books in the whole world, I decided to look into my nearby surroundings; my own country. I am glad that I came across many wonderful authors who are known for their incredible work. The books written by them have awesome storylines. I was totally hooked and I am sure you will be feeling the same excitement once you read the Blurb.

So without further ado, here I go:-

1. ‘Falling In Love With Cupid’ by Rubina Ramesh

I have read some previous books of this Author and I can definitely claim the book to be worth reading.

Read my Review on the book by Rubina Ramesh here

The book is first in the Mytho-Fiction series. That term ‘Mytho-Fiction’ is enough for me to want to read this book but, more than that the story looks very promising. I am very sure that I am going to have a really good time reading this book.

Just read the blurb and you will know what I am saying –

Book Cover of FALLING IN LOVE WITH CUPID new release

Amazon

BLURB:

When Cupid was given the task of making Psyche fall in love with an unsuitable candidate, he had never thought that he would be that candidate. Her beauty ensnared him, and he understood for the first time what it was to fall in love.
He had two problems in front of him. No God could fall in love with a mortal and Psyche was his mother’s sworn enemy.

Psyche was beautiful but sadly it was not a boon but a curse. Men would swoon over her, but no one would dare to marry her. Then one day she felt she was turning mad as she imagined a presence near her. It was casting a spell of passion around her and she couldn’t help but fall in love with that shadow. She knew it was a figment of her imagination, yet that pull was hard to resist. She couldn’t see him, yet he had captured her heart. Who would believe her and when she came to know that it was her destiny, she decided to surrender to her fate.
When two unlikely souls fall in love, it’s because the Gods have a plan in action. But the question is how much are these two lovers ready to give up to get their love?

2)    ‘The Untold Story’ by Ridhi Shah

It was the title of the book which compelled me to know more about this book. I liked the plot on which the story is based upon. It looked unique to me because the main story begins where most of the romance stories are bound to end. There are very few authors who dare to experiment while writing a romance genre… and I am a fan of unusual stories which are the end product of such experiments. I have a strong feeling that this book will meet my expectations.

BLURB:

When the handsome Vihaan meets charming Aesha at a charity function, he finds her very attractive and falls for her beauty. Convinced that she is the one, he tries to woo her in all possible ways.
Their other-worldly and innocent love soon blossoms, and they emerge as two hearts with one soul.
Love stories usually have a happy ending – after the wedding vows and the birth of a child. But for Vihaan and Aesha, the story is just getting started. With the birth of their son also happens the rebirth of Vihaan’s untold story.

3. ‘Miss Matched’ by Varsha Dixit

I loved the cover of this book. It is so calm and pleasant to one’s eyes. The feel of romance oozes out from the cover. See for yourself

This book is the second instalment of the series called ‘Wallflower’ The blurb gives a hint of a romantic story which is going to have its highs and lows. And that is what pulled me to this book.Book Cover of MISS MATCHED new release

BLURB:

Gina Bansal and Ojas Purohit hostile and completely opposed forces of Nature! Were they always, Miss Matched? In ‘A Hasty Hookup’, readers met Ojas and Gina – an estranged husband and wife, utterly belligerent to each other.
Miss Matched is the book 2 in the Wallflower Series. Meet Gina and Ojas as they meet each other for the first time.
Gina Bansal, a shy young woman, who with the help of her close friends, her ‘Wallflowers’ has successfully avoided the trap of ‘arranged marriage’ her parents have laid out for her sixteen times already. Will number seventeen be the one?
Ojas Purohit, a handsome, daredevil young army officer who does not believe in anything ‘arranged’ yet falls in love with a picture of a beautiful young woman.
A little cloak and dagger, a pretence leads to a lot more than Gina and Ojas had bargained for. Amongst misunderstandings, silly fights, sweet camaraderie, heartfelt confessions and heated kisses, Gina and Ojas unite, become one.
But fate has some other plans for them. Or is it simply the poor choices Gina and Ojas made? What kind of tragedy destroyed a love so strong?
‘Miss Matched’ is the second book in Gina and Ojas’s story. It is a story of love, it is a story of pain – of unexpected twists, sizzling chemistry, cliffhanger ending, mature language and content.

4)    ‘Pretend To Be Mine: A Marriage Contract Romance’ by PG Van

I have a weak spot when it comes to plots having a marriage of convenience or contractual marriage in the romance genre. Somehow, the blossoming of love after such marriage feels like a wonderful story to me. Maybe because it reminds me of my late teens when I used to relish reading romance novels set up in the Victorian Era. Most of them had similar plots and it was never boring for me. So for my old times’ sake, I need to get this novel.

BLURB:

Dheeraj does not believe in marriage, but given the circumstances, he is not left with much choice. He needs to move fast to make sure everyone around him believes he is getting married for real and to the right woman, even if it’s for only two years.

Anjali never expected a complete stranger to propose a marriage contract as if he were offering her a job with a salary and benefits package, especially the first time they meet. What he offers is tempting enough for her to give in, so she can fulfil her dream and keep the promise she made to a loved one.

For their friends and family, Dheeraj and Anjali are a loving couple who fell in love at first sight, but they both have an agenda. Their reasons for the marriage contract were different, but what they never expected is what happens when two people start living under the same roof pretending to be a couple.

Sparks fly and butterflies flutter between stolen kisses, but when they start to find out more about each other’s reason for the fake marriage, will they still honour the contract? Will love make its way into the contract as a clause?
