Hi Darling Readers,
How have you been? So, it’s March 2018 guys. Can you all believe? To me, it looks like yesterday when I was celebrating New Year… and here we are in the middle of the third month of the year.
With the time just flying left, right, center… I am starting to have this strong feeling that the earth is accelerating her speed every year 🙂 I wonder if anyone else also gets the same feels 🙂 🙂
Anyways, so March brings Spring season along with it… The sun is shining bright, flowers have started blooming, green leaves have started adorning the trees. Looking at this nature’s beauty, one song keeps jumping right into my mind again and again. A light, beautiful and happy song.
Does it not make you feel so blissful… Ah! M so happy (smile smile smile)
And now with all this Sunny feeling, let’s sift through some new releases of March 2018, to choose our First on Friday. I have picked 3 new releases among the many awesome new releases.
OBSIDIO by AMIE KAUFMAN
Obsidio caught my eye since it is a part of one of the famous, most talked about series – Illuminae Files. Honestly speaking, I am about to start the first book of this series (yup, I have sinned for not reading it earlier). And out of curiosity, I was looking for the other installments, when I came across Obsidio. As I read the blurb, I was totally taken in. The only thought flitting through my mind at that time was… I have to start reading the series before its too late!!!
Kady, Ezra, Hanna, and Nik narrowly escaped with their lives from the attacks on Heimdall station and now find themselves crammed with 2,000 refugees on the container ship, Mao. With the jump station destroyed and their resources scarce, the only option is to return to Kerenza—but who knows what they’ll find seven months after the invasion?
Meanwhile, Kady’s cousin, Asha, survived the initial BeiTech assault and has joined Kerenza’s ragtag underground resistance. When Rhys—an old flame from Asha’s past—reappears on Kerenza, the two find themselves on opposite sides of the conflict.
With time running out, a final battle will be waged on land and in space, heroes will fall, and hearts will be broken.
RESTORE ME by TAHEREH MAFI
I have heard and read only rave reviews about this book. With so much written and spoken about the previous books in this series, the author’s name, kind of stuck in the back of my mind. So, when that name was looking at me from that book, I couldn’t make myself walk away without saying ‘Hello there!!’
Juliette Ferrars thought she’d won. She took over Sector 45, was named the new Supreme Commander, and now has Warner by her side. But she’s still the girl with the ability to kill with a single touch—and now she’s got the whole world in the palm of her hand. When tragedy hits, who will she become? Will she be able to control the power she wields and use it for good?
CHILDREN OF BLOOD AND BONE by TOMI ADEYEMI
This book I chose purely based on the cover. Don’t you agree? I mean, look at the cover… it just pulls you… Doesn’t it? And as if this isn’t enough, the blurb indicates a hell of story hidden behind those covers. Can’t wait to have my hands on this book.
Zélie Adebola remembers when the soil of Orïsha hummed with magic. Burners ignited flames, Tiders beckoned waves, and Zelie’s Reaper mother summoned forth souls.
But everything changed the night magic disappeared. Under the orders of a ruthless king, maji were targeted and killed, leaving Zélie without a mother and her people without hope.
Now, Zélie has one chance to bring back magic and strike against the monarchy. With the help of a rogue princess, Zélie must outwit and outrun the crown prince, who is hell-bent on eradicating magic for good.
Danger lurks in Orïsha, where snow leoponaires prowl and vengeful spirits wait in the waters. Yet the greatest danger may be Zélie herself as she struggles to control her powers—and her growing feelings for the enemy.
So, these are my choices from the new releases for the month of March…
