Where there is goodness, evil is sure to follow. Where there is light, darkness is never far behind. Belleeza isn’t the angel your parents told you about as a child. She’s a weapon. A warrior. But even warriors have their weaknesses—and even warriors can have their hearts broken. Betrayed by the only man she’s ever loved, Belleeza throws herself into an unusual mission to find a missing teenage boy. But the treacherous path she finds herself on could lead her closer towards the darkness than she had ever imagined—perhaps even into the depths of Hell itself. And what about Colton, the beautiful angel turned demon who trampled all over her heart? Betrayals, secrets, torture, and passion. Be careful what you wish for—Heaven on Earth might just be more than you bargained for.

General Overview:

An action-packed adventurous tale involving sacrifice, betrayal, greed of power, restoration of soul and triumph of good over evil.

An angel and demon team up for an assignment to find a missing boy. The problem is that the angel hates the demon and doesn’t trust him. Cribbing, arguing, taunting, blaming they carry on with their task. In the process of accomplishing their task they both realise that their feelings towards each other were not dead, just diminished. On the other hand, the dark forces have other plans and they are hell-bent to achieve it.

The best part of the book was the action scenes. I am happy that there were many of these throughout. The detailing was such that I could easily see the whole fight unfurling in front of my eyes. I enjoyed them the most.

The emotional dilemma shown within Belleeza for Colton is beautifully written. When you love a person so deeply, you cannot subdue your feelings even if he breaks your heart. Belleeza couldn’t restrain her feelings when Colton returns. Even though she tries to think from her mind when it comes to Colton, her heart interferes every single time. The author has done wonders while portraying this particular turmoil of emotions.

The team for the mission was wonderful. Every teammate had a unique ability which made them equally important. I particularly liked Belleeza’s initial group. The camaraderie and connection shown between all of them is just awesome.

The description of weapons was quite interesting. Even with large variety there was uniqueness in each of them.

The thing which saddened me was that, the looks of the cast was more of assassins than angels. I mean to say that it was only in the last chapter where I could have a glimpse of the angel’s wings. In-spite of a good story line, absence of these small details, didn’t allow me get connected with the cast.

I couldn’t understand the prophecy completely. There was no explanation as to how did they infer that it was only about her. There has to be certain specification for zeroing it on one person, which I found lacking.
