‘Love is forever’ or so thought Diya.
Shy, bookish and loving, Diya never thought she would ever need to be anything else. Her charmed life slips away from her in ways, she never imagined.
Will Viren be able to sort the jumble of their lives or is it already too late?
A bittersweet story of life, longing, and lasting love.

My-Take.jpg

I was in the middle of many things when I got an opportunity to review this book. I wanted to read the book then and there as an escape from the hectic schedule I was having, but couldn’t succeed to do so.

After reading the book, the first thought which came to my mind was, “Thank God! I didn’t read it that time.” One may wonder Why??? It is because, although it is a short read, it is definitely not a light read.

This short story tends to evoke tender emotions in the reader and leaves you with mixed feelings of love and sadness.

SIMPLE PLOT

The plot is built on the cloud of emotions. The simplicity of the plot is something which made me feel an instant connection with the book. The story is about Diya, who is picking up pieces of her shattered life after her beloved leaves her.

PROS

The beginning of the story will catch your attention. It tugs your heart and compels you to move further into the story.

The portrayal of emotions was fabulously done. As a reader, I could feel the loss of the protagonist. As she moves, looking at her surroundings, reminiscing her beautiful memories with her beloved… one could feel the pain and sadness of her loss.

The author has done an awesome job depicting how normal things used in our daily lives become precious tokens of memories when our loved ones leave us behind; how the protagonist relives her past every time she looks at them.

With so much happening in the life of the protagonist, she still goes on with her life not shirking from the memories but embracing them to give her boost to live her life… is something to take away from this story.

CONS

The pace of the story was a tad bit slow for me. Although it was a short read I felt the need of having more from the story.
